My student, Jacob, is an amazing mallet player. Not only does he read music, but he learns quickly by ear. I want to give him a Pearl malletSTATION so that he can control all of the special effects for the show next year. This will serve the program long-term because we will use it every year, and after Jacob graduates in three years, we will still have the malletSTATION that other students can learn and perform on. The malletSTATION gives students the opportunity to perform with technology by offering them an abundance of different sounds and tones to manipulate on the field. We will be able to reinforce our base line, our percussion line, add super cool special effects, and transform our pit on the sideline.
