I will use these materials to help my students improve their early literacy skills. These skills are crucial in their success as readers and writers. My students do not come to school with the background skills in the area of literacy and this will help them in the area of literacy. I use an active hands on approach to learning and this will fit into this style of learning. These activities will allow my students to practice literacy skills independently during our center time. It will also keep them engaged because it is hands on. It is important that students find joy in their learning. These activities will accomplish this.
