I currently teach freshmen and sophomore students on the south side of Chicago. My students are predominately African American and come from various parts of the city. The lovely freshmen and sophomore students that enter my doors daily, are passionate about issues they can relate to, eager to learn about other cultures, and hopeful for change in their own communities. They love technology, engaging in class discussions, debating controversial issues, and producing projects that demonstrate their creative side. My students are energetic, optimistic, and enthusiastic about learning things that capture their attention.
