My students will be completing a project based learning lesson based upon the planting of watermelon seeds! We have partnered with the high school Ag. department and they will be building a planter box for us to use. We will use lumber, potting soil and gardening supplies to nurture and watch our watermelons grow! My special needs students will be able to help with every step of the way; we are so excited! Our watermelon growing project will allow my students to see and comprehend the life cycle of watermelons AND learn the value in hard work all while being able to work collaboratively with their classmates!
