I'm not the type of teacher who likes to sit at my desk, but with the way my Smart Board is set up, I can't change the slide without sitting at my desk. This keeps me from interacting with my students. The iPad would dramatically change the environment in my classroom. I'd be able to walk around and converse with my students during the lesson. I'd be able to answer questions right when they're asked. The headphones are a giant need for my students. We use our Chromebooks every day, and many times I create lessons that use music, or my students need to watch a video. If all 15-25 students are playing the video at the same time, it gets kind of hectic in the classroom. Both the iPad and headphones have the potential to create a more student-led learning environment. Instead of me sitting at my desk and dictating the notes from my laptop, I would be able to move around to those students who may need a little more help. I'd also be able to create more lessons that students will enjoy via the headphones.
