Our school building is located in the middle of a neighborhood. This allows the neighborhood children a chance to play on our playgrounds when school is not in session, but we cannot leave extra toys, like balls, outside. We are creating a mobile basket that we will fill with balls and other toys that will make our recess time more exciting. We will take the basket outside with us when we go to the playground and then bring it back to our classroom for safekeeping. Many of our students do not have access to these toys at home, therefore it is so important that they have a chance to play with them at school on the playground. Strong bodies help make strong minds!
