One of the most challenging parts of AAC is figuring out how a child will access the system, especially when the child has little to no mobility of their arms. Having a Surface Pro, will allow me to use communication applications with all students whether it is through touch or eye gaze. A tablet can be mounted or carried throughout all areas of the classroom so that we can model and use communication throughout all areas of the day. By funding my project, you will be empowering children with little to no verbal output to have a voice. All children have the right to communicate through whatever means.

About my class
