I am a brand new Special Education teacher. I have worked in my school for a little over a year as a paraprofessional and have taken over as teacher a little over a month ago. I have 4 fourth graders and 1 fifth grader, all with very diverse needs and abilities. Using these materials, I will be able to create structured play centers to help my students gain independent play skills. By setting up these centers, the students will be able to look at a visual and know what they are supposed to do in each area. Many children with Autism need to be taught how to play and how to interact socially. These supplies will help the my students to be successful in these areas.
