Our team lacks needs many things and has struggled to stay competitive. Our low budget has meant old equipment, uniforms, and a high turnover in coaches. This inequity has caused our soccer program to suffer, year after year. In the face of these barriers, this year our team was able to attain our first ever league championship. As we travel to and from games we noticed many of our athletes did not own a warm sweater to keep them warm from the unpredictable weather on the central coast. With this project, we hope to level the playing field for our athletes by giving them team sweaters they can wear as a part of their uniforms. This small addition to our uniform would boost morale and keep us looking sharp.
