Reading is the foundation for amazing things! Through a diverse library we will be able to experience meaningful learning and gain exposure to completely innovative topics, interests and ideas. We will also be able to extend our guided reading lessons, create interactive book clubs, and actively participate in partner reading. A variety of titles will help Long-Term English Language Learners, struggling learners, as well recently arrived students feel empowered when making their own choices about reading. Our intention is to prepare students for the rigorous, language demanding, environment they will experience outside the bilingual classroom when they attend Junior High next year. Strengthening their overall reading skills is crucial for their success for the rest of their careers. When you contribute to our classroom library, you contribute to aggrandizing knowledge and providing students with enriching opportunities.
