Scholars will use Chromebooks to research environmental issues and communicate their knowledge to others. I plan to have students not only use the Chromebooks to gather information from websites, but also to carry out a range of other activities such as environmental simulations, creation of informational brochures, and gathering data about the environment. Chromebooks would enable us to interface with Vernier data collection instruments so scholars can gather data such as carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. This would open up the opportunity for scholars to perform authentic research, and to experience, firsthand, the practices of scientists using technology to assist them.

About my class
