From Nauticus website: "The Elizabeth River is full of marine animals, but also, there's a whole world too small to view with the naked eye. Students will use a variety of technology to get a closer look at the hidden creatures in our local waters." Our scholars rarely get a chance to leave their neighborhoods. My hope is that this museum experience will be an exciting look at scientific inquiry. Additionally, I believe it will foster an early interest in STEM skills, as well as a desire to take care of our local coastline. This project will be the final piece of our field trip expenses.
