We are at an amazing K-6 Title I school. My students are all struggling readers and the majority of them are also second language learners. In my reading intervention classes, these students are overcoming the obstacles that have held them back from becoming successful readers and they are turning their lives around and charting a course toward success. I tell them that they have the potential to become "A" students, and they believe it is in their power to make that a reality. Most of my students do not have access to books at home, nor do they have regular opportunities to get to a public library. It is my mission to provide them with the richest exposure to literature that I can.
