"That is the power of a diverse book: you can change everything for one kid, and you create empathy in 100 more" -Kelsey W. A tablet will give my students access to the latest technology in order to enhance their learning. Students will use it to work in small groups and literacy centers. It will be used to access read-to books from apps like EPIC and to play games that support literacy like PBS kids games. The books will be used for the introduction of topics in a lesson, to support our curriculum instruction, virtual read-aloud, and to enhance our classroom library with books that represent our diverse population of learners. The possibilities are endless for my students with access to technology at the tip of their hands and access to books that represent them and are accessible to them as many do not have access to books at home.
