Producing a quality sound is fundamental to a musician's success. As my students are developing their playing techniques and learning essential concepts of tone production and tuning, it is necessary for them to be playing on quality reeds. Since the reed is where sound begins, quality has a direct impact on the sound a musician is able to produce. To be set up for success, every student must have reeds that are in good playing condition, and an adequate supply for daily playing. By donating to my project, you can supply my students with reeds that are well made, durable, and reliable. Although reeds are an expendable resource, starting with a better product means each reed will last longer and perform better. Having a supply of reeds will allow all students to participate fully in band, regardless of their ability to purchase materials.
