I have some flexible seating in my class which has been beneficial, but I purchased those items. The seating can be expensive so I am hoping to acquire more seats. More seats mean more children who will benefit which will allow them to focus for longer periods of time. This leads to higher academic achievement. Flexible seating is “differentiated” seating. If students can move, then they tend to be less disruptive and are able to burn off energy throughout the day. As of now, I have one Runtz ball and various chairs that I purchased at Target, Walmart, and Goodwill. I am hoping to have sturdier seats that will last longer than a year or two.
