Many students dislike art because they feel they don't have the motor skills to create traditional visual arts such as drawing, painting, and sculpture. However, photography allows students to utilize their creative eye and create meaningful work. Since photography is something many kids use every day via smartphone and other digital technologies, cameras will allow my students to connect their everyday life with school, thus increasing engagement and redefining their artistic identity. The art world is embracing the Digital Age. If students have skills in photography, they will be more apt to achieve success in the creative industries. Armed with cameras, students will have the opportunity to create a variety of projects, including portraiture, environmental photography, and animation. Your donation will help to make artistic expression more accessible to my students and will give them a new and exciting medium to explore. Thank you for your consideration.
