Last year my students were able to use a separate, quiet space for their breaks. They have some fidgets and activities to complete while in there, but they don't have ways to practice regulating their emotions using items that are specific to their need for movement. These materials will be used for all students to help them be successful in school and be able to get back to class and being social once their needs have been met. I have many students that benefit from a swinging motion. I have students that need support with their proprioceptive input and getting the pressure their body needs. My overall goal is to establish a comforting, calming, supportive environment for my students.
