My students have been unsuccessful in traditional learning settings because they are often kinetic learners. They love to touch, see, and build. They are often engaged when doing projects that require them to use their hands and see a finished project in the end. To marry this knowledge with their expressed interests in cars and interests in careers in mechanics- an RC car kit will be a huge step toward bringing out a range of talents within our students. It will improve morale; break the monotony of the school day; and show students that there is something to be learned with every experience- even remote control cars!
