My junior high students are the most fabulous LOW readers EVER! They are funny and bright but they have LOW skill levels! Many are children of migrant farm workers and don't have access to diverse cultural experiences because of the financial status of their families! The majority are on the free lunch program and most don't have the ability to buy books for fun reading!
