My students have been using flexible seating most of the school year. They are given the choice of where they want to sit during independent, small group, and partner work. I have noticed increased engagement during work times since they have the choice to sit where they want. Some students use clipboards and sit in different corners of the classroom. Others like to work on the floor. Others haven't been able to find their ideal location yet, so they continue to sit at the tables and chairs. My students are more engaged when they have the choice of where to sit. The products I picked will allow for even more flexibility in their seating choices. The wobble stools will be beneficial for all my students, especially for my students with ADHD. The standing desk will also benefit many of my students who work best while standing and for my student with sensory processing disorder who is uncomfortable sitting in a traditional chair. The bean bag chairs will give additional floor seating choices. I know the addition of these seating options will help my students succeed!
