My students have mild to moderate and severe and profound developmental and cognitive disabilities (DCD). DCD students learn best in a visually and auditorily stimulating format. Being able to interact with lessons enhances their ability to comprehend lesson content, increase and maintatin their attention, and increase their retention of information that was learned. With a Smart TV that is compatible with their school issued iPads, the students will be able to participate in their lessons with the aid of their devices while being able to cast the image of what they are working on. This is an immediate reward to engaing with their lessons. The Smart TV will also allow the teachers to demonstrate lessons and demonstrate how to use the iPad as well as the apps on their iPads. Donating to this project impacts the attention and regulation of our students and their ability to focus on academic and life skills.
