In most modern schools, the arts are a way for students to express themselves, learn more about their own interests, and help to gain self-confidence. In class, the ukuleles will be used to help inspire my students to learn more about themselves through music instruction. I want my students to discover more about themselves and learn more about music through stringed instrument instruction. The ukuleles will also be used to help with our South Carolina state music standards. The ukulele instruction would help us to cover Anchor Standard 5, Anchor Standard 3, and Anchor Standard 8. This experience will help them to enhance their musicianship, team work, and build self-confidence.

About my class
