We are developing and implementing a STEAM lab for all our students Pre-K through 5th grade. Students and teachers will visit the lab once or twice a week for a time of collaborating, designing, and developing a project of their choice. These projects will be creative in nature for the students to explore and develop Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics skills. We feel critical thinking is a soft skill students need to develop, while having a little freedom with different mediums of technology and art. We have numerous, science, technology and engineering items for the lab and now want to focus on the arts and mathematics manipulative items. We would love to have things like yarn, clay, wood, etc. for the students to build projects and provide a concrete way of expressing their ideas.
