These materials will allow me to publish students writing in my classroom. It will also allow them to really see what the purpose of writing is and motivate them to do their very best work. The thermal binding machine will be used to bind the books together. The cricut will be used for students to create their own covers and the paper-cutter will be used to cut the paper and all of this will be done so students can see the entire publishing process from start to finish. These tools will allow students to make authentic published books that match what they see in our classroom library. This will motivate them to write to their very best ability. It will also give them a purpose and more importantly, it will give them the power to see themselves as authors.
