I teach third grade in a moderate poverty area, with 40% of our students on free and reduced breakfast and lunches. Our school is a K-4th grade school. Our school is many children's safe haven. We provide our students with as much as we possibly can, because we know that they will not be provided for when they are home. My class is a mix of regular and special ed students that are so interested in learning. Science is one of their favorite subjects. They amaze me everyday with how smart they are. I feel very lucky to be their teacher.
