I have taught elementary school for eight years, and always strive to engage my students and get them excited about learning. With technology consuming the lives of all now, I want to incorporate more technology to motivate my students to be the best they can be both academically and socially! With this project of receiving iPads, my students would be able to research more, use applications to enhance their math and reading abilities. There are programs like Raz Kids and First in Math that we use minimally, because our classroom only has four desktop computers. These iPads would allow for more time on these beneficial programs. I would be able to use games such as Kahoot to review learning skills, which I have found it is extremely engaging for students. Students can explore kid-friendly internet sources and learn about concepts that they may not get to learn from a library book or conversation with a teacher or a peer. This would allow them to engage in their learning in a very meaningful way to a third grade student. It excites me to see my students excited about their learning, and I know these iPads would bring that excitement to them each day in my classroom.
