In an effort to support literacy in our school, we try to put quality trade books in the hands of our students. Due to limited funding resources, that often means shopping garage sales and thrift stores to be able to give students books they can choose and keep. It would be wonderful to give them a brand new book to share with their family. Having the ability to pick out a brand new book to keep forever will help increase motivation to read and explore new literature. Students will be excited to choose a book that interests them, thus encouraging them to read.

About my class
