The visual arts are more than “Art for Art Sake”. The visual arts enhance and enrich the learning experience. In life you need to be creative to solve problems. Paper and paint become an essential part of exploring and experimenting that will define their personal creative process. From the beginning in kindergarten through 5th grade all children will use painting to express themselves. They will further learn how to work collaboratively and build social skills. When you think of visual arts it most often thought of the drawing, painting and history. Also know that it promotes creative thinking across curriculum.
