With the materials listed, my students will take on student leadership roles while learning to collaborate in a school wide community garden. Not only will the students learn all of the sustainability components of gardening, but each one will also take up a student leadership role. Growing veggies in the community garden will grow student leaders who can collaborate and synergize! At the end of the next school year, my students will be able to share the skills they have learned from building the community garden with their own families.
