Providing relatable examples through story telling is a powerful way to reinforce the aspects of the CARES motto. Our students will have access to books pertinent to their world, examples of scenarios they are familiar with and perhaps have been directly affected by, and the guidance to help them navigate their way through them. Whether it is a kindergarten student understanding the value of "sharing" or a sixth grader doing "what's right", even when it's hard, themes such as these, will be explored through the books. Teachers will share and discuss these books during read alouds, morning meetings and integrate them into their curriculum.
