With a classroom full of kids it can be hard to focus at times! Flexible seating such as, wobble stools, lap desks, seated lap desks and other options I have in the classroom, will give my students an opportunity to choose seating where it helps them do their best work. Giving students a chance to be independent by choosing their seat will give them a sense of responsibility in the classroom. This will be most beneficial during the times that students are working independently and are tempted to socialize with friends. Students will be more motivated to stay in a seat that is most comfortable to them!
