Once a month, students from all 7th grade ELA classes will be rewarded with game time during class. Students will be placed into groups with games based on the group's specific needs. The goal is to increase student interest in reading and to improve their vocabulary. The best way to accomplish this is through GAMES!! "Apples to Apples" is a student favorite, and the dice have countless uses!! March is mystery month where the kids learn to be detectives while they're reading. The "Super Sleuth Vocabulary Game" will tie in perfectly! "Wordical" will help student even further build their vocabulary. In a world where I have to compete with video games, one of the best ways to get my kids engaged is through games. Since we can't play video games, why not play board games and word games?!
