We would love to have a big rug in our classroom for story time and many other daily activities! My first graders have to sit in their chairs most of the day since our floor is so cold and hard. It is difficult to have a community type feel with my sweet little ones when we are all spread out across the classroom. I would love to be closer to my students when I read to them. Also, by allowing them to get up and move more as they go to the carpet, we can help get out some of the wiggles in their little bodies. Please consider donating to my first DonorsChoose.org project to help us get a new rug in our room.
