The items for the class room include small sets of books allowing students to read and discuss the books. Seeing as the topics are common, they will be able to discuss with each other what they have heard about the topic vs. what they learned about the topic. The school supplies are for handwritten notes and organization. Studies show handwritten notes have the highest levels of retention. The lamp is because my classroom does not have a window to the outside. The maps are to help the students see the world as a whole, and in different ways.
