I am very passionate about instilling a love for reading in my students. Books help build imagination, vocabulary, creativity, focus, as well as language skills. My students have never let the title of economically disadvantaged hinder their education. The books will help my students build a deeper love for reading and help them make real world connections through literature. My students truly enjoy book club as well as whole class novel reads. I am planning on having whole class discussions as well as literature circles to discuss what my students have read in their books and how they can make connections through reading. The focus with these novels will be to enjoy the story that unfolds and develop a deeper love for reading.
