We are now halfway through the 2021-22 school year, and it's safe to say it's been a year like no other. My 5th graders have not had a truly normal school experience since they were in 2nd grade! In a normal school year, the first 2 months would be spent teaching the students the organizational skills they need to be successful in their studies. This year, we focused on what they needed most: their social-emotional well-being and transitioning back to a social setting. They have hit their stride and are ready to buckle down in the second half of the year, but they need help organizing their things! It's not glamorous, but the items included in my project will give them a fresh start in January so we can hit the ground running. We will be focusing on organizing their assignments and notes and tracking their achievement on tests, and the binder and dividers will help house all of these items. The pencil pouch, pencils, pens, and post-it notes will also be kept in the binder so that they are never without the tools they need. Please consider helping my students learn the skills they will need to take them through middle school and beyond. Thank you!
