My kindergarten students love to move around the room and find an area that makes them feel comfortable to learn. Only having the floor/carpet or classroom chairs to sit on can become uncomfortable, especially for an extended period of time. I want to provide more seating options for my students to choose from to encourage their movement in a positive way. Flexible seating will allow my students to choose what they would like to sit on around the classroom. Wobble cushions will be used for sitting on the carpet or adding additional support while sitting on a chair. Balance balls, wobble chairs, and padded stools will be an option for students to sit at their table with and help support movement for those who have extra wiggles. Giving my students the option to have a choice on how to sit to be able to focus will encourage learning to meet their individual needs.
