I am seeking funding for an Apple MacBook to assist with the delivery of virtual instruction for my Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 students. The convenient features of the MacBook will make the delivery of lessons seamless and will be a powerful learning tool to reinforce math skills for students. As a mathematics teacher at an early college high school, I must continue to bring creative and rigorous lessons by engaging students in visual representations of mathematics virtually, while preparing them to enter college by the second semester of their sophomore school year. These representations are extremely helpful for concept retention. I will use the MacBook daily to deliver instruction and reinforce math skills. Also, I will be able to connect the MacBook to my TV screen and be able to fully view all my students’ smiling faces while I share my screen via Zoom during teacher led instruction. This MacBook will transform learning in the virtual setting.
