Students need to be motivated to learn. Making things exciting in the classroom is crucial to get student buy-in. We are looking for some necessary supplies to aid to in student enthusiasm to learn. Math facts are a big part of 2nd grade curriculum. I have witnessed first-hand student excitement in using Power Pens to extend learning. I know my students would love to experience these to practice time, money, addition, and subtraction. We will benefit during our math and literacy centers each day by increasing math fact fluency practice. This will result in students being able to move forward into more challenging subjects in later grades. Technology is such an important thing to integrate in our rapidly evolving classrooms.
