We do many things in class that use headphones, and the ones that we currently have are either falling apart, have one side that works, or just don't work in general. Some of the headphone pinch the students, as well. Most would recommend the students bringing their own, but many of my students are on free lunch, are homeless, in the foster system, and/or can't afford simple earbuds. Having a class set of headphones helps with this, and allows students to not be singled out for not having headphones. Headphones are used for: virtual field trips, independent learning, making and viewing interactive videos, as well as creating and viewing interviews.
