My students need to be writing for more than thirty minutes every day. However, many of these students are reluctant writers. Allowing them choice in seating allows them to feel more comfortable and relaxed, letting their creative thoughts flow easier. When students are more invested in their own learning, and in my case their writing, when their physical needs for movement have been met. Many of my students have attention difficulties and the Kore wobble stools will allow them to move their bodies while still staying focused on their writing. The Surf Portable Lapdesk will allow some of my students to work on my carpeted area more comfortably than clipboards currently do.
