We live in a place where cold and stormy weather often causes us to have indoor recess. This can be a time of day when kids become restless or bored, and can encourage misbehavior. LEGO sets would provide a hands-on positive experience for students during indoor recess days. This will help them with visual and spacial skills and geometry concepts. In our school we have a STEM program. Having several LEGO sets in my classroom will support the STEM program and give my students opportunities to continue and expand upon the learning that takes place in the STEM room. We take weekly classroom assessments and several district benchmark assessments each year. Privacy partitions will help my students stay focused when taking classroom and district assessments. Having better focus will help to learn and show growth.
