The children will be allowed to try and choose their own seating throughout the day. These options provide opportunities to be able to move throughout the room. The different type of chair options can help children expend energy while staying in one place. They will be able to bounce their feet using the chair bands. With less time for recess in schools, alternative seating provides a way to release energy in the classroom which in turn helps students to focus, participate, and feel less restless. This will provide an opportunity for the children to be involved in their own learning. It will help the students create self-awareness knowing their​ needs are being acknowledged and that they are contributing to their learning style.

About my class
