My students in my TV/Video Production class utilize Macs every single day to edit, create and modify videos and photos. Having a Mac that I can use to demonstrate key strokes, shortcuts, certain transitions and tools in front of the whole class will help speed up the learning process and allow us to dive more in depth to video creation. By having this Mac for demonstrations it will allow me to reach students on a level that I have not been able to reach before. Not every student in my class learns the same way, some strive on reading and following instructions, where some struggle with that and strive by demonstrations or learning by doing. This Mac will allow me to reach those students who struggle to follow my step by step instruction sheets and allow them to advance farther on their video creation. Being in a Video Production class it benefits students to be able to see an example project and the steps taken to get there in person. By having this Mac it will allow me to take my knowledge farther in video creation and editing that I can then pass down to my students. Video creation is a tool and skill that my students will be able to utilize not only in my class but in other aspects of their life as well.
