The last year of elementary school is a memorable one. In the spring, students begin to blossom. All the dedication and hard work of both the students and their parents truly begins to shine. They have grown to become responsible, creative thinkers who will soon embark upon the adventure of middle school. I want to capture the memory of my students' 5th-grade year while also tapping into an artistic frame of mind. The kiddos will do this by exploring the use of acrylics while painting frames which will hold their self-portraits. With a wide variety of color choices and fine line brushes, my students will take an afternoon to sketch a plan and then explore the combination of both warm and cool colors as they fill in their design.
