Being wholly centered in the transition from learning to read to reading to learn, and using basic number skills of adding and subtracting for the higher operations, my students need now just the skills to transition, but a comprehensive review and solidification of such primary skills. The following materials are for just that. Place Value Blocks: to build number sense, especially in such early years. Math Review Pocket Chart: to show numeracy in life, to engage in a daily review of number sense; to practice fundamental skills of numeracy (calendar, money, temperature, etc.) Book Set: to build my classroom library for students to be able to draw on good, on-level, informing literature
