In the Emotional Support Classroom, students sometimes need additional resources to help deescalate their emotions along with coping strategies they develop in my classroom. Some of the outbursts then affect their fellow classmates, creating additional issues for them with their peers. The faster that they are able to deescalate, the faster they are able to make their way back to learning in the classroom. The materials in this DonorsChoose allow my students that opportunity, as well as incentivize them for positive behavior. They will use these tools to help control their stress and emotions, and help to maintain the positive environment in our classroom.
