Students start the year, making a movie about themselves. We go through the steps of story board, learn filming techniques, editing and adding music. Throughout the year, we make movies in Science and we have entered student movie competitions. My students in the past years have won 'Best Movie, Most Relevant and Creative' awards in the San Jose State University's Green Ninja Film Festival on climate change. Using the old first generation iPad is not working any more to effectively teach movie making techniques. Help give my students an iPad, keyboard, and pencil to learn to create, edit movies. Team work in making movies contributes to effective learning.
