We are requesting supplies for math and literacy centers. We are working to develop engaging centers where students can have more opportunities to grapple with and discuss the material. Students learn best when able to communicate and learn from each other. These games will help us as educators to quickly plan more enriching centers and therefore give students higher quality centers, guided reading and math, and tier two interventions. The project will help our fifth grade students in reading, writing, and math. We are asking for a magnetic classroom timer for keeping on track during centers, fraction and decimal games, reading comprehension games, vocabulary games, grammar and writing games, a math word problem game, a multiplication and division game, and a fifth grade math review game. The games will be used for years to come because both of us plan to continue teaching for a long time to come. Moreover, when we retire these games can continue to help students engage with reading, writing, and math topics that we have noticed students commonly struggle with.
